“Without the park the people would be poor – without the people the park would not have been created.” In the last 145 years rich and poor, young and old citizens of Bremen have looked after their park through donations. This example is unique in Germany. People who have distinguished themselves as role models or by virtue of their drive and energy and investments for the common good have committed themselves to this great idea.
