Playgrounds
In Bürgerpark provision is, of course, made in particular for the well-being of "city children". Long-distance excursions are not necessary to experience nature and learn interesting facts. And emphasis is naturally put on fun as well. Four large playgrounds are available with swings, pirate ship, climbing frames, sandboxes and much more. In addition, Bürgerpark offers a playground for small children at Schwanenteich.
All playgrounds are cleaned and the sand replaced regularly, of course. A great deal of importance is also attached to the safety of the play equipment, which is checked continuously by the park administration.
Simply go to all playgrounds with your children, they will know which one they like the best - probably sooner than you expect.

Play Activity Programme
A very special regular event during the summer months is the Play Activity Programme at Marcusbrunnen. Organized by the Bremen state sports association and with considerable assistance from volunteer parents, toddlers, children, teenagers and grown-ups romp about on the lawn around Marcusbrunnen and take advantage of the play and sports activities offered by the Bremen state sport association.

The Bürgerpark Play Activity Programme takes place on the lawn around Marcusbrunnen every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 6:30 pm from May to September. During the summer holidays additional activities are offered on both days from 10:00 to 12:00 in the morning. Then the Play Activity Programme receives support from the instructors of the school holiday programme of the Bremen city district sports association.


The Bürgerpark Play Activity Programme is sponsored by the Bremen state sport association in cooperation with the Bremen city district sports association, the Bürgerparkverein and Sparkasse Bremen.
